NZ Biofuels Roadmap Summary Report launch

Scion is launching the NZ biofuels roadmap summary report: Growing a biofuelled New Zealand.

This report presents the findings of a two-year study by Crown research institute Scion into options for large-scale production and use of liquid biofuels in New Zealand as a way of significantly reducing our greenhouse gas emissions and improving energy security. With extensive stakeholder input, the study provides multiple scenarios exploring different possible futures across a wide range of feedstocks and technology options.

This report is an excellent starting point for an open and fact-based discussion on the biofuels opportunities for New Zealand.
